 Mr. Mahoney is a shareholder with comprehensive experience in Virginia's state and federal courts. His areas of expertise include divorce/domestic relations (with an emphasis on divorces involving substantial assets and contested custody issues), commercial litigation, and crisis management for nonprofit and private organizations. Admitted to practice law in Virginia in 1980, he has been repeatedly elected by his peers to Virginia Business magazine's Legal Elite and the Virginia Super Lawyers magazine in the category of Family Law and was most recently named as one of the top 50 attorneys in Virginia. He has also been selected to be included in The Best Lawyers in America and selected as Family Lawyer of the Year in 2010. Mr. Mahoney was recently appointed to Virginia’s Child Support Guideline Review Panel by Governor McDonnell. Mr. Mahoney has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
